How to let your property without an agent (UK)
Letting your own property in England is legal and increasingly common. The work splits into six steps: get the property legally compliant (EPC, gas safety, EICR, smoke and CO alarms), advertise it, reference applicants properly, agree terms in writing, protect the deposit in a government-approved scheme within 30 days, and serve the prescribed documents before the tenancy starts.
